Moderation
Warnings, timeouts, kicks and bans with a case for each one, automatic escalation, AutoMod rules and logs your staff can trust.
What moderation does
- Cases for everything: Each warning, timeout, kick and ban gets a numbered case with its reason.
- Automatic escalation: Time someone out after three warnings, ban after five. You set the steps.
- AutoMod rules: Block spam, invite links, mass mentions and words you choose, even while the bot is offline.
- Logs where you want them: Joins, leaves, edits, deletions and role changes sent to the channels you pick.
- Staff and access: Decide which roles can run which commands, and in which channels.
- Careful with deletes: Clean ups and bans are always shown in red and approved one at a time.
Big clean ups, always checked first
Deleting messages after a raid is one sentence. The card shows how many, where, and what is kept, in red, so nobody approves it by accident.
- Pinned messages are kept
- Never approved in bulk with other changes
- Logged for your staff afterwards
Commands
/warn: Warn a member, for staff/timeout: Temporarily stop a member from talking, for staff/kick: Remove a member from the server, for staff/ban: Ban a member, optionally for a limited time, for staff/case: Look up a moderation case, for staff/history: Show every moderation case for a member, for staff/note: Add a private note to a member's record, for staff/purge: Delete a batch of recent messages, for staff/lock: Stop everyone from sending messages in a channel, for staff/slowmode: Set a channel's slowmode, for staff
Questions
- Do moderators need the dashboard?
- No. Every action has a slash command, and cases made in Discord show up on the dashboard too.
- Can members see their cases?
- Members are told when they are warned or timed out. Notes stay private to staff.
- Does AutoMod work if the bot is down?
- Yes. Rules are set up as Discord's own AutoMod, which keeps running on Discord's side.
